THIEF!

Yesterday I went to make a pb&j sandwich for the girls for lunch. I went to open the bread and realized that someone has already taken the liberty to do it for me. Teeny tiny little wholes in the back of the bread bag.........huh. I have never seen this before. Could we have mice?
Later I mixed some tuna for MY lunch and could'nt wait to put it on bread and eat it. I then remembered that the bread had possibly been tainted with disease and decided to put my tuna on crackers instead.
Jeremy went to the bank after the kids went to bed and I suggested that he drop by Lowes and pick up a mouse trap. He called me from Lowes and wanted to know if I wanted a live capture mouse trap or one that kills them. I opted for kill. Mice are really cute in a cage in the local PetSmart, but not scampering in my house robbing us of our food while we sleep.......yes, definately the kill kind.
When Jeremy arrived back home, I promptly baited the trap with a little piece of cheese and set the trap in the bread box.
This morning as I was coming out of my sleepy relm, I remembered what I had done the night before. I didn't really think I would be so lucky to catch our little thief on the first try, but sure enough, when I opened the bread box, there it was, a little grey mouse that is now happy in mouse heaven eating all the cheese he/she can fit in his/her little mouse cheeks.
Sorry little mouse, but you should not have come in my house and eaten my bread.
By the way, the Tomcat Mouse Trap works really well.....if you wanted to know.
Also, Gavin wanted to have a funeral for the mouse. He felt bad that I killed it.
I feel a little bad too but it was His/Her time to go.

Sommer-
New Mexico has brought many new things for us...including mice! Our death toll is at 2 so far. I bought the "sticky" traps and it was so sad! They don't die right away and squeak and squeak! I will have to try the ones you bought from Lowes. Hope you are doing well. :)

Awesome! I've been cleaning up old mouse droppings (our mice have hit the road) that the previous tenants of our home left for us. Nice, huh? Anyway, I'm so with you on instant death to little invaders. You go girl!
