Expensive toilet paper

mia's nose trick
So I had to put Amelia's latest trick in the record books to take out and show a future boyfriend. She came to me in the morning when we were getting ready to run some errands and told me she had toilet paper in her nose so I looked up there and sure enough there it was. I asked her why she put it up there and she said she was trying to keep the boogers in there(because she had a runny nose). So I used my pinky nail to dig up in there and I was able to retrieve some but there was more in there. The next step was to go get the tweezers to try and get the rest. So I'm getting more and more toilet paper out of her nose and I tell her to blow into a tissue while I plug the other side to get some force to blow the rest out. Nothing will come. Now we are both getting nervous. Amilia starts to complain that it hurt and I told her that if she doesn't let me get it out than I will take her to the Dr. and they will tie her down to do it. I don't want to take her to the Dr. because at the time we were inbetween insurance coverage so I knew it would be pricey. Then her nose started to bleed a little and I couldn't see the toilet paper anymore because now her nasal tissue is all swollen from irritation. So change of plans, we're going to urgent care. We get there and by this time her eye was looking swollen and irritated underneath. They of course take us to a little room after the big room to sit there for another 30 minutes . I used this time to coach Mia into blowing as hard as she can into the tissue because if she can get it out now than I don't have to write a big check in a few minutes. She can't do it and the Dr. comes in. I hold the light and the doctor uses his niffty tweezers and he gets a whole bunch out but he says he sees a little more in there. I ask if we could have her try and blow again and nothing comes out the first time but the second time tah dah! This ordeal cost me $130. When we realized that we were'nt going to have insurance for a few months we thought that we would be okay. Too bad we couldn't see into the future to see that Amelia would stuff toilet paper up her nose! Do you know all the other things I could have spent $130 on? Kids will be kids!

Fry bread and Cotton candy

county fair '08
Jeremy and I went to the County Fair with NO KIDS! We also went with my sister, Hailee and my brother in law, Nate. It was really fun but I don't think I like the loop-d-loo kinda rides like I did when I was a kid, I think I prefer roller coasters. I still gotta have the cotton candy though! We watched motorcross in the grandstand and I couldn't believe the tricks these kids were doing. I was so afraid that I was going to witness some horrible accident and it got my tummy in knots more than the rides did. I guess I've gone soft since having kids.

Havin' fun

Not poo again!

Well, I just cleaned up poo. Again! No, not my baby's, but my 3 year olds. She isn't the baby anymore so she has decided to go bazerk. She has been going number 1 and 2 in her pants again. Yesterday she emptied out the baby's soap all over our bathroom floor and 4 days ago she broke off a fan blade from the ceiling fan in her room. I would say that 4 kids is kicking my rear end but I really think it's my 3 year old accomplishing it all by herself. I sure hope this is just a phase!

things in common

Andie and Reese seem to have a lot in common already. Reese is more laid back like Andie is, she is a good sleeper like Andie is but most of all they both get lost in the television. It makes it easy for Andie to keep Reese entertained.

Reesie Reese

Reese,
Our newest member of our family, Reese, is finally starting to grow! She is still our itsy bitsy teeny tiny but her cheeks are finally getting a little chubby. She is 3 1/2 months old now and she suprises people in the store when they see her because she is so alert and so strong and they are so impressed but that's because she's the size of a newborn so that's what they think she is. She is just over 9 lbs now and she loves practicing using her voice and watching her brother and sisters play. It won't be long before she is running around like a crazy right along with them!

Our first blog

So we have finally started our blog! It will probably be kind of random for a while because I'm going to go through and put our photos on picasa so that they will be safe in cyber space, but I also plan to put our favorites on our blog. Hopefully I can make this fun and interesting enough that people will want to check in every now and again.
